How To - Repotting Houseplants

1. This plant has roots appearing through the base of its pot – a good sign that it needs re-potting.

2. You will need a pot one size larger…
3. ...and a bag of good quality house plant compost.
4. When the plant is slipped from its old pot, you can see the congested mass of roots.
5. Put a good layer of fresh compost in the new pot.
6. Gently tease away some of the outermost roots – and if any brown or black ones are found, cut them away.
7. Sit the plant root ball onto the new compost.
8. Fill in with more compost around the sides.
9. Water the plant thoroughly to settle it in to its new home.
